Sub-Zero Press, Inc. acquires Hillsboro Banner, ND from Kelly family
Hillsboro, N.D. – Sean and Cheryl Kelly of Hillsboro Banner, Inc. announce the sale of the Hillsboro Banner (ND) newspaper to Sub-Zero Press, Inc. of Hillsboro, N.D., effective Friday, Feb. 10, 2012. Sub-Zero Press, Inc. stockholders include Hillsboro residents Cory Erickson, Cole and Alyssa Short. Julie Bergman of WB Grimes and Company represented Sub-Zero Press, Inc. in the sale. The Hillsboro Banner is North Dakota’s oldest Weekly newspaper, established in 1879 in Hillsboro. It has been a frequent winner of statewide awards from the North Dakota Newspaper Association. “We’re very excited for this opportunity to bring a new perspective to the Banner,” said Sub-Zero Press president Cory Erickson. “It’s an honor to be a part of the storied history of this publication. Hillsboro (population 1,603 as of the 2010 census) is the county seat of Traill County and is located along Interstate 29 between the cities of Fargo, N.D. and Grand Forks, N.D.
